Common pitfalls for Web3 founders
Defi Alliance conducted interviews with a number of web3 founders to find common issues 👇
Marketing: Forcing on marketing before product.
Hiring: Scaling too fast, too early.
Community Management: Brute-force engagement over-treating the community first as users.
Tokenomics: Token should be tailored to the project’s go-to-market strategy.

✨DAO Spotlight of the week
We're here to fund the next Padawan's into crypto conferences 🚀
What is a Padawan? A broke asf kid interested w/ ETH.
Vibe Check: In this week’s DAO Spotlight is PadawanDAO. The DAO originated in Fall 2021 when a group of generous donors sponsored the attendance of 75 “padawans” at ETHLisbon and NFT.NYC. Since then, PadawanDAO has been financially and educationally empowering students and other young individuals within the crypto space. If you’re young and interested in crypto conferences but are feeling financial pressure from the attendance fees, follow PadawanDAO on Twitter to stay in the loop!
Channel Alpha: The PadawanDAO Discord is the perfect spot to learn more about how to get involved as a Padawan or as a mentor - which gives you the awesome title of Jedi. Here are a few key channels to check out:
Members of the community regularly post #opportunities to get involved in the crypto world. This channel is a great spot to find upcoming events, sponsorship and grant applications, and more!
For those who have a bit more experience and are interested in mentoring students beginning their crypto journeys, dive into #jedi-applications. The best Jedi have expertise, resources and a few hours per week to offer to the community.
Saving the best bit of alpha for last… This weekend, PadawanDAO announced that applications are open for fully paid sponsorships for ETHAmsterdam! FYI, applications are due March 31.
Down the Rabbit Hole:
To catch up with the latest developments in the DAO, be sure to follow them on Twitter and check out their recently-launched newsletter. If you’re passionate about empowering young minds within crypto (hint: probably a good idea), you can donate to the DAO’s multisig here. You can also learn more in the DAO’s documentation and even check out the status of their treasury.
