Key learnings from DAOs
DAOs are communities built around a shared mission, coordinated by rules enforced by the blockchain. Tips for starting a DAO đ
Form the communities around a collectively defined mission statement.
Sub-DAOs allow for smaller working groups to focus on particular initiatives.
Build a culture that allows for community members to push back on proposals in a constructive manner.
Why Build in Web3
Web3 protocols focus on sharing the ownership of its platform with its users allowing for them to share in the potential upside.
Public decentralized blockchains allow for information to be interoperable across all platforms built on that chain.
Wallets allow users to seamlessly move information from any platform built on the chain reducing the friction of logins.

The Index Coop is a community-led initiative making crypto investing simple, accessible, and safe đŚ
Vibe Check: Index Coop facilitates the process of investing in crypto by offering a variety of investment vehicles to individuals and institutions. These include leveraged indexes and token baskets tracking categories of crypto assets such as DeFi or the Web3 data economy. Index Coop provides documentation of their methodology in constructing these indexes as well as ongoing updates about trading metrics including supply and volume. The DAO is governed through its $INDEX token, which can be freely traded and even used as a metagovernance token for several protocols contained within the DeFi Pulse Index ($DPI).
Channel Alpha: The Index Coop Discord is a great spot to learn about the DAO and the underlying tokens within each of its indexes. With so many channels to keep track of, here are a few hints:
The Index Coop leadership team frequently hosts Q&As, interviews, and other events in the #đ community-events channel, making this a great place to learn about the DAO and other interesting topics within the world of crypto.
If youâre looking for some fun with other builders, check out the #đŻbounty-board for the occasional challenge.
Curious about one of Index Coopâs offerings? Look no further than the Products category, which has a dedicated channel for each Index Coop product.
Down the Rabbit Hole: Index Coopâs Interest Compounding ETH ($icETH) has recently become a favorite among those hoping to find more ETH exposure before the Merge. You can learn more about all of the DAOâs product offerings, governance token and liquidity mining on its website, blog, governance forum and Twitter.
